Despite being light, it is the strongest material and it is harder than diamond and even steel. In recent years of the 21st century, carbon is taking the research world by storm due to its unique change in properties in the nanoscale. With its excellent chemical, electrical and mechanical properties, many of the possibilities are explored in discovering the shift of host materials in many current technologies. Graphene also finds its way to electronics and optoelectronics where it is also the same group as silicon. Especially in optoelectronics that nanolighting is crucial in biological application.
