Development of healthcare application using wireless wearable devices
As humans age, physical and mental deterioration follows. Such changes could result in lowered responsiveness, thus resulting in possible hazards for the ageing individual. Such changes could result in lowered responsiveness, thus resulting in possible hazards for the ageing individual. Current means to track responsiveness involves a cumbersome process which could result in inaccuracies. Henceforth, this project is embarked to develop a healthcare application which could assist healthcare professionals in data collection and analysis. The healthcare application "EZ-Momentumist" was designed using a 3-layer architecture consisting of user-interface, Logic and data. This help the project to develop more efficiently as everyone can consecrate in the layer without much interfering. The team uses the Spiral Model approach because there will be many changes in the process of developing a prototype application. The application would integrate multiple hardware sensors that are able measure the energy, horizontal speed produced by the patient, and hardware sensors which could synchronize the time-stamps and the data of the software application. The application will be coded in Java language in order to run across platforms.
