| Summary: | In recent years, as the demand for healthcare services increases, advancement in Information Technology has allowed medical professionals to develop the concept of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to help overcome the issue and provide better and more efficient medical care to the patients. Referencing to the concept of EMR, this Project aims to develop the Medical Information System (MIS), a web application for health care professionals to review patient health information during ward registration, discharge planning, inpatient procedures and diagnose prescriptions in a simple and convenient manner, and thus, increases efficiency in providing better health care services to the patients. There are many medical information systems used in healthcare sectors including hospitals and clinics. Traditionally, the doctors and nurses use the computer terminals such as PCs to record medical information while the patients provide their personal particular details to the nurses or administrators who in turn enter patient information into traditional computer terminals. Currently, doctors enter medical information records in the system without requiring patients to use the system. This project presents the Physician Information System for the Physician to improve the efficiency while at work. It provides a platform for the physician to create their new accounts, manage their profiles, view patients consultation records as well as some news postings. |
