This means that Singapore is facing an ageing population. There are many effects with our aging population. As one ages, their health may deteriorate along with their body movements. One of the factors will be the deteriorate of their eye-hand coordination and the ability of balance. In this project, the concept of a ball game was developed for the elderly as a measuring tool to measure their motor skill. The user are require to control the movement of the ball by tilting the tablet accordingly and bring the ball to the designated hole. During the game play, information will be collected and store in text file. In addition, these information can be displayed in the form of graph format and also the path of the ball that had travelled. There are several algorithms been implemented in many areas of the ball game. The areas such as collision detection with the obstacles, improvement on the flow of the ball move and analysis of the game play. The ball game was given to a group of users in school to measure their motor skill. According to the result, we observed that younger user took shorter time and shorter path to reach the destination. Although the application is specially design for the elderly, we hope that the later version of the game can be extended to more elderly user and their data can be collected.
