Digital Camera, mainly DSLR, is now able to be remotely-controlled which means the functions of the camera can be changed without the user to physically change the settings on the camera. With the help of a portable embedded computer, Raspberry Pi, photography hobbyist have come up with solution to connect their camera to the mini-computer through either WiFi or USB (Universal Serial Bus) to remotely control their camera with a push of a button. This project aims to integrate the solution with an Arduino controlled robot. A web-based application would allow the user to configure the camera settings and the image that the robot would portray and capture the image. The Raspberry Pi would be hosting the web application, with the camera connected through USB and Arduino is being connected by WiFi and the transmission protocol between Raspberry Pi and Arduino would be by User Datagram Protocol (UDP). User would be able to dictate what images the robot would display and adjust the amount of brightness with regards to the surrounding light to ensure capturing a perfect picture. The robot is a four-wheel motor driven and traversing across terrain should be of little challenge.
