It may also occur due to improper techniques used, fail to warm up before activities or overused of certain body areas. Prevention is always better than cure, as wrist tendonitis are common occupational hazard for musician, tennis players, golf players and etc. By using rehabilitation technique exercises, it helps to strengthen patients’ muscles. Those with severe wrist tendonitis condition, physiotherapy rehabilitation are often required to recover from this condition, and it usually takes a long period of treatment for a full recovery. As a result, patients lose their motivation to complete their rehabilitation process. Therefore, patient’s psychology is one of the main factor to the road of recovery. The idea of project Ocean develops from a concept that revolves around the patient’s psychology in a virtual rehabilitation game. Project Ocean is a 3D virtual environment cater for wrist tendonitis, games have many benefits but for project Ocean, it focus on virtual rehabilitation and prevention excises. As it allows patients to exercises more willingly through the games and motivates them to play longer. As the game is in a virtual environment, the environment is a crucial factor to the patient’s psychology. Project Ocean is an underwater stress-free environment that is peaceful and filled with beautiful fishes swimming around the player. Colors and beautiful graphic models plays a part to portray a serene environment which affects the psychology. Project Ocean uses leap motion device to accurate sensing user’s hand position, as such it is best suited for wrist exercises that meets the proper execution techniques, resulting better chances of full recovery and strengthening of their muscles.
