Description
Summary:Enterprises are faced with the challenge to deal with increasing dependency of large amount of personal data. Online storage services gain popularity for their convenience and low cost. However, recent prevalent online storage services (i.e. Dropbox, OneDrive) require users to trust the service provider. For fear of losing business credentials, large enterprises either produce their proprietary cloud storage systems or purchase from professional vendors like IBM. In this project, we implemented a secure online storage system from a previous project, which retains the ownership of files to users on an untrusted server. The system uses cryptographic mechanisms and a pair of client and server application to achieve the following functionalities: 1) secure file management functions including folder creation, file renaming and movement etc.; 2) secure access right management functions, including file sharing and file sending. The system provides a web portal and android app for users to access the storage system.
