Gaming is something that has almost always been synonymous with computing, and with innovation from companies, cloud gaming was developed, to allow users to play games that may require computational power not affordable to the masses, by having remote servers perform game execution and rendering and then streaming the output frames to their inputs. Such a description would be a basic one of cloud gaming, as there are many other factors to consider such as network latency and stream quality. This project aims to implement a pause and resume game function on a working cloud gaming service, whereby a user can pause his game at any point of time and then return to it in the future and resume at the same state as when the game was paused. The project will be using CentOS 6.5 as the operating system for the servers, with nginx deployed as the web server, MySQL used as the database server and Preprocessor Hypertext (PHP) and Python as the main programming languages used in the development of the modules.
