This study tries to explore the opportunities created by the emerging concept of Virtual Organizations for CIM Industry. CIM Industry is better placed in terms of it's resources, infrastructure and personnel to take on the concept of Virtual Organization. Internet and other related technologies are fast becoming the backbone of the Virtual Organizations. An effort is made to provide a brief picture of Virtual CIM which is another step forward in the direction of realization of Virtual Organization. The opportunities provided are unlimited and it's beneficiaries are ranging from an individual to MNC. In an effort to demonstrate the unlimited opportunities an imaginary set up of factories separated geographically is considered. How a Virtual Organization concept can be applied to make different factories separated geographically and operationally to operate as one unified organization is explained.
