Description
Summary:In the essay to follow a study will be made of both Larry Kramer’s Faggots and Kate Millett’s Sexual Politics. The reason for this study is that Faggots, being a fiction about male homosexuals is ideal for use as a test of Millett’s “Theory of Sexual Politics”, a theory that has at its bases three other fictions, one of which is also about male homosexuals (Jean Genet’s The Thief’s Journal). By the end of the essay it will be shown that in Faggots, there exists, in fact, an anti-theory of sorts, with respect to Millett’s “Theory of Sexual Politics”.
