Summary:This project is an attempt to assess Singapore's competitiveness as a manufacturing hub, and its potential to attract foreign investment in manufacturing. An in-depth study conducted to determine firstly, factors influencing manufacturing plant location as perceived by decision makers in MNC's and secondly, Singapore's standing as an offshore manufacturing base. Singapore's competitiveness as a nation is explained with respect to "Diamond" framework for analysis on a nation's competitiveness, especially in its ability to attract international investment.
