The misidentification with our minds causes us to drift in and out; to be less than fully awake in the present moment, creating a void. Living in a fast-paced world has resulted in a shift in lifestyle. Many are dedicating more time to their careers, even to the extent of compromising on rest. Many hold on to the belief that happiness is when one is successful and rich, but on the contrary, still feel that emptiness and discontentment within them. Living mindfully is living in acceptance of what it is to be. It is one of the many solutions to be at peace, and to find contentment in life. It enables us to be conscious of our thoughts, to be appreciative of the things around us, and cultivate creativity and curiosity in the way of seeing things. It brings us to the point of reconciliation with life; to truly enjoy relationships, indulge in our surroundings and our senses, to be in the present, instead of chasing after time. The scope of this project exploration is to research and understand the way of mindfulness, the psychology of mindfulness and its benefits of meditation on the body, mind and soul. With this knowledge, coupled with experimental practices, this project aims to show forth the importance of mindfulness, to allow others to see the world in a different perspective. In addition, it aims to encourage one to be conscious of his/her everyday activities and encounters, and to cultivate an open and creative mind.
