| Summary: | “I Want To Burn That House” (IWTBTH) will be a solo and personal film project for Muhamad Yazid where he will explore themes such as illegalism and our malevolent existential purpose in the universe. Thematically, this short film will also help others in examining their frame of thought towards the nature of wrongdoings and the thought process that an individual experiences when contemplating an illegal action. As this project will be done by Yazid alone, the resources in which are made available to him will be limited and the duration to complete the film will also be short. Hence, he will be compromising on quality but focusing purely on the narrative aspect of filmmaking. This leads to a filmmaking experiment that accompany the production of this film. He will set certain rules and conventions in which the filmmaking process will abide to and the result will bring about lessons and observations in which he could learn. He will be academically advised and supervised by Assistant Professor Ross Adrian Williams. |
