Thus, this project aimed to develop an innovative board game that invites Singaporeans to reflect on gracious behaviour through game play. Through a satirical approach, the board game, Goodness Gracious! aimed to ridicule ungracious behaviours of Singaporeans. Drawing on real examples of exaggerating ungracious behaviours, I hope players will not only laugh at the absurdity of these behaviours but also be reminded on the negative implications those behaviours bring. The game employs the use of fines and penalties, a coercive mean that reflects Singapore’s strict legal system, and explores how it may be used to curb ungraciousness.
