Summary: | ManMade is a combination of live action and Computer Generated Imagery a.k.a. CGI animation where it deals with 3D animation, Visual Effects and film. Animation students have a freedom to choose how they want to execute their project by doing 2D animation or 3D animation. Animation is not limited by drawing and moving characters. Animation could be 2D, 3D, 2.5D or a mixture of any medium where an animator brings something to life. It could be living or not living objects or even virtual objects where people can see and moved by the moving pictures. ManMade is about a journey of a young boy into the deep water to explore the adaptation of sea creatures in response to pollutions and environmental changes. It’s the first underwater Visual Effects (VFX) short film that is produced by Art, Design and Media (ADM) students. Inspired by a short film “Factory Fifteen”, the entire film mostly consist of underwater scenes which visualizing the impact of the environmental changes as well as entertaining the audience through the journey of the main character. Through the long process of planning and executing the film, there are some pros and cons in how to execute the film and some challenges that I face. There will be images and explanation behind the making of the film where it starts from research, planning and problem solving during the execution. |
