Description
Summary:This report aims to design and build an adjustable regulated DC supply so as to experiment on how the difference in ripple voltage affects the measurements and outcome of the desired voltage. Various ranges of capacitors are researched and experimented to determine the minimum value needed to deem the ripple voltage as negligible as well as to be cost-efficient. Experiments and measurements are tested and compared to theoretical predictions to see if they match. Further improvisation such as modifying it to switch automatically between 6V and 12V is done as it adds in a “smart” element to the project.
