By using this program, users could design a continuous steel beam in a very simple way. Traditionally, designing and checking of a beam is done by manual calculation which is prone to mistakes. However, with the development of this design tool, users are not only able to design a beam within a short period of time, the calculations and checking are also accurate with zero errors. This beam design program is developed based on the Eurocode 3 using Visual Basic for Application (VBA) and Microsoft Excel 2013 as the main platforms. In this report, the development process of this beam design program as well as the beam analysis and checks will also be discussed. Also, this report will provide users a tutorial on how this design program is being operated and help them to have a better understanding of the design program. The author hope that the developed design program can be further improved by the professionals in the civil engineering industry or other civil engineering students. The author also hope that the efforts that we have spent in this design program will be helpful to the civil engineering industry in the real world applications.
