It benefits every one’s home, community, and country through concatenating power transmission with information technology. This fast developing technology will largely change the daily life existed in our mind and moreover, become one of the crucial tools that help human kinds live through the rigorous trial of environment deterioration. However, security of the Smart Grid is a gulf that needs to be surmounted before its widespread construction. The most primary concern of the security in Smart Grid consists in communication technology. The vulnerabilities in its mechanisms may lead into crimes and even terrorist actions. Because of the large deployment, the security vulnerabilities of Smart Grid can cause calamitous results. In this project, architecture of Smart Grid and security schemes in different domains are researched for the vulnerability exploration of the system. Two solutions are designed and proposed to protect the system against malicious attack behaviors. Finally, BAN Logic and AVISPA, two distinct verification tools, are applied to prove the security of the enhanced protocol in Smart Grid.
