Summary: | Mimosa pudica often also known as touch me not or shyness plant commonly. Not only is it known to fold up its leaves when there are external stimulations, but it also has a biological clock that control such movement when it is in prolonged darkness. Many past studies had been carried out to determine the various uses and features of Mimosa pudica. However, not much is known about the force required to induce movement in Mimosa pudica. Therefore, an experiment will be done to determine the amount of force required to induce motion and further discuss this feature. While the force required is a new area to be tested, experiments to determine how differently wild and home grown specimens will react under repeated stimulations will also be conducted and discussed. The experiments to determine how various parameters like the diameters, length and width of the leaves will affect the closing, reopening time and angle drop will also be conducted and discussed. |
