It detects patients’ moving patterns and issue alarms to the caretaker to attend the patients. The system is composed of a waterproof mattress with sensors, a control unit with network communication capacities and a computer software to collect and analysis data. The objective of this FYP is to equip the control unit with network communication function and develop a computer program to serve as a centralised control panel and data storage point. We have developed a program that enables the control unit to send data via Wi-Fi communication and a computer program to receive and store data. The testing results show that the softwares can perform the functions with high reliability.
