Description
Summary:A detailed LCA was conducted on the Zero Energy Building (ZEB) which is developed by BCA. The major focus is to establish a LCA model to understand the hybrid usage of PV panels in ZEB. One of the major step is to identify the Life Cycle Inventory so as to allow easy analysis. Software modelling was used to assess the Life Cycle of the PV panel used in Singapore. Under this modelling scheme, it is possible to use different indicators such as Primary Energy Demand (PED) and Global Warming Potential (GWP) to analyze the amount of potential pollutant released and assess the effectiveness of PV Panel through its Energy Payback Time. Energy Return on Investment can also be calculated based on the Energy Payback Time and the expected lifespan.
