Description
Summary:This project aims to develop software that can help Demand Response (DR) participants to manage its load profile and reduce energy consumption per day. Major energy consumers are encouraged to participate in this programme as incentives are rewarded. The amount of incentives being rewarded varies for different types of industries. Consumers will tend to shed loads that are lesser priority such air- condition in specific places or switch on backup generators. The energy demand can be calculated and designed so that the supply can be given accordingly. In this way, the power generation can be more efficient and crate benefits for both utilities and consumer. In this project, LABVIEW software application is largely used to develop this software application. The controller will able to analyze energy consumption of different participants. The participants can perform DR when there is need to do so. All the simulated values are based on the research and study of the different scholarly articles and Singapore’s energy market.
