Description
Summary:Due to the rapid development in modern technology and human living standards, there has been a steady increase for power demand all over the globe. The Asian region is set to be one of the mega consumers of energy in the upcoming decades. Therefore, the need for effective use and management of power has become a mantra especially for a small but with high energy demand country like Singapore. In order to use and manage power, we first need to know how it is utilized and what consumes this energy. This paper attempts to understand the different types of loads used in the household over a period of time to understand the demand stressed by these loads on our grid system. Based on the classified load, we help to reshape the demand profile of the household to carter to better power management on the grid side. Through the historical data, the possible pattern and suggested ways of reshaping the load profile is presented.
