The aim of the Final Year Project is to create a telecommunication postage stamp with potential for commercialised usage. Using an Arduino Micro board as a microprocessor and coodinating with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) module, the stamp will be able to communicate its location to the database via Short Message Service (SMS). An android application have been created to function as a SMS gateway to handle the SMSes sent from the stamp and update it to the backend server. The user will be able to obtain the location of the postage stamp through a website management portal. From the web portal, users will also be able to request an update of the GPS coordinates from the stamp.
