The body of this report is broadly divided into two sections. The first section consists of findings regarding start-up issues and success ingredients of six local ventures. The next section attempts to identify some of the emerging patterns observed from these ventures. Data and infomation were gathered mainly by interviewing six } entrepreneurs from five different industries. A detailed interview schedule and mini-questionnaire for the purpose of interviewing the entrepreneurs were prepared. These data were carefully analysed and compared with theories in numerous literature. The results of the analysis does not, however, offer a unified formula for entrepreneurial planning. Rather, it attempts to increase the readers' capability for such planning by illustrating the great variety of strategic approaches that have proven to work for others. Summarized main conclusions and recommendations form the last section of this report.
