Description
Summary:Asia is the most disaster prone region in the world. Over the last century, natural disasters in Asia have caused huge economic losses. This report will focus on one of the Asian cities, Bangkok. Bangkok faces high risk of natural disasters especially flooding. Therefore, it is import to assess the building values in Bangkok to allow further studies on the economic impact of Bangkok due to natural hazards. This report focuses on two prediction methods, power law scaling analysis and multiple regression analysis to predict the future total building value in Bangkok to year 2050. Both generated a different set of prediction for total residential and commercial building value.
