One of the Government vision is to implement a method for the elderly to be able to live independently in their own home safely. The aim of this project is to develop a system to monitor the elderly safety in their daily lives. The concept is to record the coordinate and speed of the object by using an inertial sensor which have the function of Accelerometers and Inertial gyroscopes. The recorded data will then be used to judge whether an object is falling or moving around. Thus when the data stated that the status is in falling then it will send a signal to the other device and give warning that the first device is in danger. In order to be able to allow the project to be tested the hardware that the elderly carry should be as compact as possible therefore integration of the component is important. The integration will include the MCU port, RFID Transceiver port, ADC, AGC, Voltage Doubler into a single printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB board will then be assembling together with the Microcontroller, Battery, Inertial Sensor, and RFID Transceiver. The Inertial sensor will be using Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) interface and RFID Transceiver will be using Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) interface.
