Description
Summary:Ultrasound has been widely used in the medical field for both imaging and therapeutic purposes. Some of the side effects associated with it are mainly due to the heating and cavitation effects. Hence, the need to study effects of ultrasound wave on body tissues as a mechanical wave has been of importance. There are a lot of acoustic wave simulation softwares available. The aim of the project is to develop a platform to evaluate the characteristics of wave propagation and power dissipation in human body when ultrasound is applied for stimulation applications. In order to do so, I explored and further improved simulation codes in the application of Ultrasound Neural Stimulation. The platform is developed by using acoustic software FOCUS through MATLAB interface.
