Description
Summary:The driver assistance research group from NTU Future Mobility Lab works on a variety of projects to analyze the driving behavior of people and collect different types of data such as drivers’ visual behavior, EEG signals, eye movements, facial expression, mental awareness and multi-tasking, to detect drivers’ status and to study people’s driving behavior for the purpose of future research on safer driving assistance. This final year project aims to provide a driving emulation system for experiments to collect those different types of data. To enhance the accuracy and reliability of the experiment results to be collected, a 3D car driving emulation system is created, and the car models used in the driving environment act like real cars to improve the driving experiences. To obtain and analyze the experiment data of different driving environments, two scenes are created using Unity 3D: a tutorial track and a city map, with different types of car models created and imported respectively. After the system is created, users are able to take control of the car through keyboard or using the simulative steering wheel for experiments.
