A quadcopter also known as a quad rotor helicopter is one of the types of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle which uses 4 rotors to propel. The quadcopter uses two set of fixed pitched propellers, clockwise and anti-clockwise as well as the variation of RPM to control the lift and the torque. All the components of the quadcopter are carefully selected and built as well as meticulously developed of the control system. Additional components such as the first person view system, payload release system, and sound recognising devise is are placed inside so that the quadcopter is able to meet the requirement to join the Singapore Amazing Flying Competition (SAFMC) 2015 in category D1. In category D1, the minimum requirement is to have the quadcopter to be under 2kg as well as capable of doing various task while going through obstacles. This project focuses on stability as well as the capability to have autonomous take-off and landing.
