Description
Summary:Today, e-learning systems have been gaining huge popularity as an educational tool, and have since gained a significant importance in education. While instructors shift from the paper-and-pen environment to digitalized environment, we have to focus of understand the needs and views of the instructors as they prepare online assessments for students. Focusing not only what they would be looking at, but as well as their interface with the system itself. With the moving trend in design, the user interface design elements are constantly changing and it is very important to select the right framework and right design that caters to the different user groups. The objective of the Final Year Project is to design and develop a user interface on the Online Quiz System that focuses on four featured functionalities: 1. Effortless setup of parameterized questions that support four different types, including multiple-choice, multiple-response and fill-in-blank, without accessing the backend system.2. Drag and drop function for images used for questions, set as optional. 3. Simplified and user-friendly interface meeting the defined requirements for the system. At the end of the project, a prototype interface for the question creation has been developed, and meeting the requirements given. There are currently four question types that are supported by the interface, Multiple Choice Question, Multiple Response Question, Fill-in-the-Blanks and Short Answers. The interface design is written using the Bootstrap CSS, JQuery (JavaScript), and HTML. The interface have shown to be able to allow instructors to enter questions into the system in a faster and more efficient way.
