However, the amount of fossil resources are limited and non-renewable. Also, burning all these resources will create wastes, which will pollute the environment and cause global warming. Hence the study of clean energy resources and improvement of power efficiency is necessary. Micro-grid system combined with the green building concept will bring the clean energy to the buildings, which may reduce the dependence on fossil resource and improve energy efficiency. Also, there are huge amount elevators in the world, the power regenerated is quite impressive. Thus the usage of this regenerated power is reasonable. This project is to build a model of micro-grid system with elevator by using Matlab Simulink. Also the parameters set is based on the real life, which may improve the simulation accuracy of the system. Through this one year project, the author learn the related knowledge of micro-grid system and the operation of motor and elevator, and applied the knowledge study in previous academic life. In addition, the author understand that there is really a huge potential of energy saving in the field of elevators.
