Inspired by the art of Ikebana, this project seeks to explore the different aspects and types of space. The various form of space that interacts with the plant materials through series of images and compositions via different medium such as video and photography. The idea of placing the plant material and occupying a space is inspired from the placement of flowers with the use of space in Ikebana. Firstly, this report is focusing on analysing and researching on the elements and the 3 key aspects of Ikebana. After which, the focus will be the idea of space and beauty in this project. The second part is the explanation and description of the 3 main types of space that were being explored in this project. Finally, the outcomes and deliverables of this project will be shown at the last part of this report.
