| Summary: | More often than not, parents/guardians partake in the induction of nightmares in little children on a daily basis. This is evident in the use of a disciplinary approach that involves instrumental lying, a manipulative practice that leverages on the fundamental premise of fear to threaten and scare the child victim into compliance. This paper attempts to dissect and present the inherent wrongs in instrumental lying as well as discuss the immediate ramifications of this act. The proposed solution is presented along with the progress report of the execution phase of this project. |
