One among them is attaching a bomb to the undercarriage of vehicles like cars. Several companies in the world are working in order to come up with technology to detect the under vehicle objects that cause threat to the nation. This dissertation focuses on the implementation of a mobile and highly portable under vehicle inspector with associated mobile platform controls, live video viewing and post-event review functions to inspect possible car bombs or smuggled goods attached to undercarriages. It includes both implementations of hardware and software parts. Hardware part consists of building a miniaturized vehicle platform using existing components in markets. And software part includes communication control of this vehicle, mobile operation control unit, and a remote video archiving server. In addition, the operator can watch the video live and record a video of an inspection. Also, users are able to review videos stored in a remote server whenever they want.
