Summary: | BATS code is a newly proposed network coding. Compared with traditional fountain code, BATS code achieves higher throughput over multi-hop networks. BATS code also requires smaller buffer size, lower encoding and decoding complexity than RLNC. In this project, we investigate the capability of BATS code on video streaming over a three-hop line network. A specific three-hop video streaming testbed which enhanced the efficiency of BATS code is implemented. In the results of our testbed experiments, continuous output videos with no visual frame losses are achieved in an acceptable real-time delay, which show the excellent capability of BATS code on real-time video streaming. |
