Description
Summary:Quantum Dots (QDs) technique has been one of the leading methods that gain recognition in the recent years. In order to leverage on this unique properties QDs possess, and the fatality of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa infection has been on the increasing trend, P.aeruginosa was experimented to explore the behavior on how well it can attached to QDs in its bacteria cells. This report aims to successfully labeled P.aeruginosa with QDs for body tracking using three different methods of assessment: flow cytometry, epifluorescence microscopes and fluorescence spectrophotometry. The characteristics of P.aeruginosa are also discovered, and the challenges faced examined. The attempt of labeling Outer Membrane Vesicles (OMVs) is also included in the experiment at the later part and was analyzed using fluorescence spectrophotometer. There is room for improvement for future studies in terms of the process involved for each experiment and apparatus used to maximize utility so that the results deduced are clearer.
