Summary:This report provides a comprehensive overview of the author’s experiences in Environmental Resources Management (ERM) over the course of the 10 weeks internship programme. This report also serves to fulfil the requirements set out by Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Industrial Orientation program (IO) by showcasing the learning of the author mainly in the Contaminated Site Management (CSM) and Transaction Services (TS) departments. Learning includes understanding the Environmental Baseline Study (EBS), ESA guidelines for State Land in Singapore, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines for onshore and offshore gas and oil development, International Financial Corporation (IFC) guidelines for various environmental parameters, Singapore EHS legislation, and various research works amongst the many learning. This report also depicts the involvement of the author in the field work of several projects at ERM. At the end, the author sums up the report with a reflection of his industrial experience.
