The air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) system is the product of the knowledge gained from understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and machine design. Almost all modern buildings are fitted with ACMV systems to provide necessary ventilation to occupants and are hence an important component in the construction industry. This article will provide the reader with a basic understanding of the flow of processes that leads up to ACMV installations in buildings by contractors in general. Different types of ACMV systems available in the market will also be discussed. The reader would also be able to better appreciate the precautions taken during design, selection and installation with regards to fire safety. 2015-06-17T06:21:20Z 2015-06-17T06:21:20Z 2014 2014 Industrial Attachment (IA) http://hdl.handle.net/10356/65259 en Nanyang Technological University 17 p. application/pdf |
