Summary: | The purpose of this project is to design and implement the basic building blocks of a converter system which typically consist of a dc-dc boost converter, a switching device, sensor circuits and a controller. In this project, a fifth-order boost converter was designed and implemented. Two sliding-mode controllers for the converter were also implemented. The performances of the controllers were investigated under various operating conditions. Experimental results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of these controllers. |
