Description
Summary:The objective of this project is to study the technical and economic issues relating to the application of the solar energy on a large-scale in Singapore and also to be aware of the Life Cycle assessment methodology/software of the Solar PV system. To meet the requirement, I started with literature review which helps me understand the relevant concepts and technologies regarding to Large-Scale Solar PV application. Followed I conduct mass and energy flow study over the complete production process starting from silica extraction to the final panel assembling. And the life cycle assessment of amorphous, mono-crystalline, poly-crystalline & most advanced technologies for the solar panel production are also been carried out for further analyse. A review of the life cycle assessment (LCA) of solar PV based electricity generation systems is also been conducted for economic consideration. And I also carry out some Solar PV projects case study in Singapore, like marine reservoir, HDB rooftop @ Seng Kang and so on. Which further help me better understand the whole solar system in Singapore. With all these done, I come out the conclusion about technical and economic consideration of Large-Scale Solar PV applications in Singapore.
