It helps in maintaining the temperature sensors accurate which in turn helps in maintaining the temperature limits for a plant. The experimental setup used in this dissertation helps in finding the more accurate method to calibrate these important temperature sensors. Two methods namely 3-point method and Multiple point method is compared and results have shown that Multiple point method using Least Squares algorithm is more accurate than the basic 3-point method of temperature calibration when we use Copper Block and Stirrer. Experiment is extended to find out the methods which can increase the efficiency of the hot water bath which is used to calibrate the sensors. Copper Block and a Stirrer is used for the same. Results have shown that with the use of these additional components the uniformity of the bath can be increased and better and more accurate results can be produced. The experimental setup, procedure and future scope of the dissertation has been discussed along with all the results obtained. It is found out that the least squares method has the following advantages:  It can handle multiple points of data easily.  It make the calibration process more accurate. Due to these advantages the least squares method can be used as a Field Calibration method as it can be used at anytime and anywhere with the help of a system and some tools.
