總結:Embedded real time systems are getting more complex over the years. Safety critical industries such as automotive and aviation uses a large amount of such systems, resulting in a major part of their expenses. Hence, there is an increased interest in trying to fit functionalities of different criticalities into one system. This brings several benefits, such as reduced size, weight and cost. On the other hand, this approach would meet many difficulties along the way, such as certification requirements (such as ASIL). One of the proposed solution is Mixed Criticality Systems (MCS). For this project, an OSEK/VDX compliant real time operating system (ERIKA Enterprise) is used as the software platform for implementing mixed criticality scheduling for the automotive industry. A mixed criticality scheduling algorithm called Earliest Deadline First with Virtual Deadline (EDF-VD) is implemented into ERIKA Enterprise, and the testing and debugging platform is the TI Hercules MCU with Cortex R4 CPU.
