Researchers are motivated to find a cure or effective ways to help dementia patients with the help of the advance medical technology. The project aims to develop a Person-Centred Care system for dementia patient, named PEAR, to provide a helping hand in better managing elderly in the Person-Centred Care through the help of the advance technology. The backend system shall be a comprehensive tool where all information of the dementia patients are located in a single source location. It comprises of two main components, a web interface and a database. The web interface serves as the primary access points for two main users – Doctors and System Administrator. Through the web interface, doctors shall be able to monitor the patient’s dementia condition via performance measurement and perform actions such as approval of games, recommending games category and generating list of game best for the patient. Furthermore, System Administrator shall be able to manage the user accounts and list of games. The database collate all information of the dementia patients, serving as a centralize storage for the patient’s information between the three teams – Person-Centred Care (PCC) team, Android Game Development (AGD) team and Backend System team. Moreover, a game manager shall be developed. It is mainly used by the PCC and AGD team to upload game details, such as score, to the database after each game is played. The report provides a clear description of the task completed for the final year project. Information that are essential for one to understand the project before moving on to the development phase of the system are documented. Additionally, figures are included to aid readers in their understanding of what was completed.
