Description
Summary:In today’s context, there are very few applications in the market which implements sonar technologies with smartphones. This is due to the limitations of the smartphone’s hardware being unable to support it to the fullest potential. This work is about exploration of an Android application that would unlock smartphones based on the unique face reflection using sound signals. MATLAB would be used to calculate the time difference after finding the peaks and valleys from the original and received signals. The original signal are 18 kHz and 19 kHz frequencies and received signals went through the process of filtering. The distance from the microphone would then be computed after generating the time differences value using the distance formula.
