Despite the numerous enhancement efforts on the existing platform and applications, there are still plenty of visible room for improvement to increase the convenience of healthcare professionals and to provide better healthcare experience to the patients. Existing healthcare platform and applications were solely catered to suit either the needs of the medical professionals or the patients. This project is an integrated system that puts both parties’ interest into equal consideration and aims to improve on the healthcare experience for these 3 processes namely, ‘before consultation’, ‘during consultation, and ‘after consultation’. In this project, the proposed system named HealthWiki consists of two parts. 1. DoctorWiki: A web-based application used by the doctors that is capable of retrieving patients’ medical history, prescribing medicine, writing memo, granting medical certificate and conveying these information to patients in a fast and efficient fashion. Furthermore, it incorporates an appointment booking system. 2. PatientWiki: A client side Android mobile application for the patients which retrieves and stores consultation details such as medicine and its dosage in a hassle-free manner. It is also capable of managing past and upcoming appointments, and has the ability to join queues instead of walk-in at specified clinics. It offers a comprehensive list of clinics and doctors for patients to choose from. It delivers featured medical news to patients and allows an additional filtering based on their medical condition or keyword input. Both DoctorWiki and PatientWiki integrate closely together to enhance the efficiency of information transmission process. This report will discuss how the system is designed, implemented and tested.
