| Summary: | The main purpose of this project is to design and develop a web-based Research Grant
Call Distribution System, which helps the user to gather people who are interested in
participating certain specific research work. This system will be the main platform used
by the research centers or schools to manage and distribute grant call information. The
system will have four different types of user: Research Support Office user, School
Research Office user, School Faculty user and Administrator. Research Support Office
user will post related information about the grant call on the system and the system will
distribute the information to School Research Office user and School Faculty user for
further follow up action.
This web-based project is developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, PHP
and MySQL. A cross-platform web server solution stack package called XAMMP which
has Apache Server, PHP and MySQL is required to implement the system.
At the end of this project, the final product is a stable and complete system, which fulfills
the requirements of the project.
For further improvement, the system can be implemented as an application on the
smartphone to achieve better usage as it is much more convenient for the user as most of
us have a smartphone. |
