Description
Summary:The current Final Year Project (FYP) Examiner Allocation (FEA) system, built in 2007, has many limitations and components that are outdated and deemed to be unfit for further usage in the upcoming years. This project is a collaboration with another FYP project, FYP Examiner Allocation System Improvement (SCE15-0270). The purpose of this project is to upgrade these components and remove some of the limitations so that the current system can be operational in the near future. After a series of discussions, a conclusion was made to design and implement a new system to replace the current one as part of this project. The highlight of this new system does not only meet the operational needs and doing away with the limitations of the current system. It also aims to build a user-friendly, highly modular and compatible system to adapt to the changes in a dynamic environment for the future. To achieve this objective, much effort is put into user-interface design, gathering feedback, requirement elicitation, architecture design, database design and optimizing allocation algorithms.
