Summary: | Nowadays, software developers refer to online resources very often while programming but the link between the code production and the visited browser histories remains implicit today. Interlink is a remembrance framework that connects the source code and web browsing activities to help the software developers stay in context and make the retrieving process of the past work histories easier. Interlink consists of an Eclipse plugin that keeps track of the Eclipse commands execution and Firefox browsing history and has a modified version of paste command that paste the content with auto-added comments. It also consists of a Firefox extension which augments the google search result page with a related Eclipse record. This project seek to produce a more user-oriented design and a more efficient prototype for the Interlink system. The user evaluation on the Interlink prototype suggests that the designs of the Interlink are good for users and the features of the Interlink are useful for the programming development. However, there are still many rooms for further developments and additional features could be added to enhance the current Interlink system. |
