Description
Summary:The aim of this project is to design and develop a Snake Alert system which provides users assistance in three areas of the snakebite problem, namely alert and prevention, onsite instructional self-treatment (First aid) for specific kind of snake captured by phone’s camera and description with distribution based on location of snakebite cases. SnakeAlert application helps to alert the users whenever they approach areas that snake appearances were reported before. Besides the user-friendly UI, SnakeAlert also provides functions to see the snake incidents reported before, first aid information with picture provided and the map of snake incidents. The design and development of the system include MySQL database design, django+python/php web server, front end website and android application. The system is really helpful for people staying near the forest, rivers where snakes like to live. It is also needed places where troops are stationed.
